To Avoid Permanent Lung Damage or Death from Prolonged or Repeated Inhalation: Respirable crystalline silica (quartz) can cause silicosis, a fibrosis (scarring) of the lungs and may cause cancer. Do not breathe dust. Do not rely on your sight to determine if dust is in the air. Respirable crystalline silica dust may be in the air without a visible dust cloud. In case of inadequate ventilation, wear respiratory protection. Use dust monitoring to determine the level of respiratory protection for your workplace. Keep airborne dust concentrations below permissible exposure limits. Use adequate exhaust ventilation and dust collection. Maintain and test ventilation and dust collection equipment. Do not use abrasive blasting. Read SDS for more information.
